In November, a team of officers from the California DFG Cannabis Enforcement Program served a search warrant for illicit cannabis cultivation at a warehouse in the San Francisco Bay Area. After gaining access to the warehouse, officers located what was later determined to be a “Burglar Bomb” from a company called Revel Technologies. The Burglar Bomb was installed in the rafters and did not detonate when officers entered.
Chinese Marijuana Grows
Once a week, we do the “Insiders Briefing” for subscribers only. In this episode, we have video training, as well as an analysis of Chinese involvement in the indoor marijuana grow industry. Recently, a joint law enforcement task force uncovered almost 9,000 pounds of cannabis worth around $15 million during a raid in a suburban neighborhood in Antioch, Calif., a few days before Christmas. The California Department of Cannabis Control believes that the four houses searched in the bedroom community 45 minutes outside San Francisco were connected to China.
The Repulsar IV is marketed as an anti-burglar/anti theft device. According to manufacturer documents, each Repulsar IV consists of four 6 ounce cans of OC spray, that are on total release actuators. The device is wired to a 12 V DC power source, can be triggered by various means (wired to an alarm system or wireless cell phone activation), it could be set with a time delay. There are other similar product offerings made by the company, including motion activated devices.
