14 Tons of Narcotics and Chemical Precursors in Culiacán, Sinaloa
In a significant operation, the Attorney General's Office in Culiacán, Sinaloa, seized a total of 14 tons of drugs and more than 56,000 liters of substances and chemical precursors. The haul included methamphetamine hydrochloride, fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, heroin, lead acetate, tartaric acid, sodium cyanide, hydrochloric acid, and ammonium chloride. Additionally, 144,245 units of fentanyl, 34,285 units of methylphenidate, marijuana and poppy plants, and 625 objects related to criminal activities, such as hydraulic presses and gas tanks, were confiscated. The seizure took place in a specialized and authorized company in Culiacán, with personnel from the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF), Federal Ministerial Police (PFM), and experts in forensic chemistry participating in the operation. This substantial seizure represents a significant blow to drug manufacturing and trafficking operations in the region.
