Strategic Alliance within Sinaloa Cartel Post-Ovidio Guzmán's Arrest

Following the capture of Ovidio Guzmán López, 'Los Chapitos', sons of notorious drug lord Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán, have reportedly formed an alliance with Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada García, as per a Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) report. This strategic pact, established to consolidate power and survival within the Sinaloa Cartel, involves 'Los Chapitos' withdrawing from the lucrative fentanyl trade to alleviate U.S. pressure, joining forces to counter the Jalisco New Generation Cartel's expansion, and ensuring mutual defense against military operations. This shift signifies a significant realignment within the cartel's hierarchy and operational focus in the wake of Guzmán's arrest.
