Marijuana Legalization Increases Juvenile Medical Emergencies
Emergency department pediatric visits in Alberta for Marijuana after legalization
A study by a different group of Canadian researchers finds that marijuana legalization in Canada has increased emergency department visits by children and older adolescents because of unintentional ingestion of marijuana edibles. This is the first time Canada has documented a pattern that has become prevalent in US states that have legalized the drug for both medical and recreational use.
